Being part of community.

So many ingredients go into creating community

Whether we are creating brand new communities or growing and rejuvenating existing ones, we know how important it is to put significant planning and thought into how a space will be used by a diverse group of people, for a long, long time.

As developers and builders, we know we play a key role in creating sustainable outcomes and we prioritise how we can contribute to positive community growth, particularly when evolving existing communities.

We have an uncompromising focus on building quality, healthy homes is a key factor in creating strong and healthy communities. We also consider lifestyle and amenities that will cater for social requirements and foster connection and interaction. Because people need people, and we want to ensure we are making good, sustainable decisions that will foster communities for generations to come.
The home of hope

The Home of Hope - Tauranga

The Classic team in Tauranga has had a long-standing relationship with local not-for-profit organisation, Homes of Hope. Providing care and a home to children who desperately need it, Homes of Hope’s quest to grow and provide even more community support was a challenge we wanted to be in on.

It began with a fitness fundraiser at a local F45 gym in 2019, which saw the Classic team and their Bay of Plenty partners raise $28,000 for what became a house build deposit. A new Home of Hope was then designed and built on the organisation’s existing premises by Classic Builders who – joined by the help and force of many other local community supporters – managed to complete the $380,000 home with no need for Homes of Hope to raise a mortgage.

90 More Miles - Northland

The challenge? To run, walk or Skip the equivalent length of 90 Mile Beach to raise funds for a Whangarei charity, Kind Hands.

Our Northland team wanted to create an annual initiative that would benefit a local charity. Over the month of March in 2020, the inaugural challenge took place with hundreds of participants completing a total of 88 kilometers on an inner-city walking track, spending time being active while raising money for Kind Hands Respite Care.

A massive $25,408 was raised in 2020 and $28,200 in 2021 with the initiative being well received by a community working together to get behind this great cause!

We don’t need perfection tomorrow, we just need to be better than today.
